Environmental Sustainability Outreach Program
my world, my choice! is made up of individuals who chose to make a difference, and are encouraging students to make that same choice.
It's really that simple - by encouraging sustainable choices for our world, no matter how small, we will make a difference. Together, the smallest changes can make the largest impact for our world.
Our team at the University is composed of sustainably-minded students across many different majors working together to inspire local youth in the community.
Lianne Foti
Founder
Lianne earned her doctorate with a focus on Ethical Decision Making and has a MBA in International Management. She also has global experience working with multinational corporations in both the food and energy industries. She currently is an Assistant Professor at the University of Guelph and believes that business can be a force for good.
Amanda Rothblott
Club President
Amanda is in her fourth year of Marketing Management, minoring in Sustainable Business. She joined My World, My Choice in December of 2021 because she is passionate about encouraging students to facilitate open conversations about sustainability. Amanda has a particular interest in corporate social responsibility and incorporating environmental and social sustainability into core business practices.
Amanda Gaide
Vice President
Amanda is in her third year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree in the Management Economics and Finance Co-op program. She joined My World, My Choice in September of 2021 to learn how to make a real impact and strive towards a more sustainable future, as part of a team of like-minded individuals. Amanda aspires to utilize what she has learned from My World, My Choice and the Sustainable Development Goals to use business as a force for good and help create a greener society.
Heather Tyner
Marketing Manager and Graphic Designer
Heather is in her third year of Marketing Management with a minor in Sustainable Business. She joined My World, My Choice in September 2021 to explore her interest in sustainability and inspire others to do the same. Heather aims to integrate her passion for sustainability with a career in marketing.
Sophie Camp
Events Associate
Sophie is in her third year of 3rd year of Environmental Sciences. She joined My World, My Choice in September 2022 because of my interest in and passion for the environment and sustainability. She wanted to meet like-minded people and hopes to make an impact in her community.
Serena Van Acker
School Coordinator
Serena is in her fourth, and final, year of Family Studies and Human Development. She specializes in youth and is interested in how sustainability can be incorporated into social work.

Christie aspires to bring those goals into her Landscape Architecture practices, in hopes to design with the environment and minimal impact on existing conditions.

Mia is in her fourth year of Animal Biology degree with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Mia joined My World, My Choice in September of 2021 to expand her knowledge of environmental sustainability and inspire others around me to be environmentally conscious. In the future, she hopes to implement sustainable practices into her own profession, ultimately integrating animal health with the health of our planet.

She wants to be a part of educating youth, and those around her, in hopes that her efforts help to create as community that has more sustainable approaches.
